Mr. Ansley grew up in Westminster, Colorado. He attended college at the University of Colorado where he received a Bachelor's Degree, he then earned a Master's Degree from Fort Hays State University, and completed some coursework at Emporia State University. His hobbies include golf, gardening, and traveling. His wife, Patti, is an elementary school principal in Dodge City. They have been married for 32 years. His son Jarrod is married to Katie and together they have one child, Isaac. They live in Topeka where he has a finance and accounting degree and works for Security Benefit and teaches classes at Washburn University. His other son, Nathan has received a business and accounting degree from Washburn University, and is now in his first year at Washburn Law School in Topeka.
