Basketball is well into full swing this time of year.  We had several games packed into our schedule before Christmas Break and now we are pounding the planks and burning up the nets.  Our girls are playing fantastic and their record shows it with 8 wins and 1 loss.  The team is led by team work and hustle.  Their success is due to tremendous team effort.

The High School Boys basketball team is one of the hardest playing teams I have seen here at DHS.  Unfortunately the have been coming up ever so short in their first 8 games.  They got their 1st win vs. Elkhart High School with a decisive victory.  I have to quote Coach Klein from the movie The Water boy, "Now that you finally won a game, right, you feel looser, the pressure is off, and that will lead to a lot more victories."  It was only a matter of time until the boys had everything fall into place.  But if you have been watching the games, If you were awarded wins based on effort and heart the boys would be undefeated.
