Entering the Classroom

Starting the Day
â?¢ Put personal belongings in locker

â?¢ Sharpen pencils (2) and gather materials for class
â?¢ Be seated and ready to start class by 8:00

Working Independently
â?¢ Have materials ready
â?¢ Work without talking
â?¢ Raise hand to ask for help
â?¢ Wait quietly for assistance when the teacher is helping someone else
â?¢ Move quietly around the room
â?¢ Put materials away when finished
Asking for Help
â?¢ Always try by yourself first
â?¢ Raise hand to get assistance
â?¢ Keep working if you can or wait quietly
â?¢ Remember the teacher has other students that may also need help

Taking Care of Personal Needs
â?¢ Quietly get the teachers attention
â?¢ Let the teacher know if you need immediate help or if it can wait a while
â?¢ Try to speak to the teacher privately and quietly if you do not want other students involved

Completing and Returning Homework
