Partnerships – the cornerstone of a CTE program for student involvement in the community and workplace with local and regional businesses. Partnerships are also connections with all educational partners, who include other teachers, parents, the community, organizations, post-secondary institutions/faculty, and industry.
By the end of the 2019-2020 school year, have an in-house print shop for banners, posters, and window perf.
By the end of the 2020-2021 school year, expand in-house printing to a nearby school
By the end of the 2021-2022 school year, increase the number of schools we supply banners and materials to at least 100% (from 2 schools to 4 or more).
Physical Environment – the CTE classroom, shop, or lab setting where the instruction takes place. It should reflect the needs of the discipline, industry alignment, instructional methods, and student needs.
By the beginning of the 19-20 school year, purchase a solvent printer and vinyl cutter.
By the beginning of the 20-21 school year, purchase a classroom set of computers and Adobe Software. Purchase DAIGE SOLO 65 laminator w/stand.
By the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, retire our 2 old/broken heat press machines and upgrade to 3 new FLHP3805B Heat Press Machines to aid in our school business. Also, purchase software for contour cutting.
Professional Development – the continual, pathway-focused training and education required to keep (a) teacher(s) highly qualified. Teacher(s) are ultimately the individual(s) who ensure the other components of a quality pathway are in place consistent with the needs of the educational partners and continually improving.
2019-2020 Take an Adobe software class during the summer of 2020 to learn new Creative Cloud features.
2021-2022 During the summer of 2021, the instructor will go through “classroom in a book” for Premiere Pro. During this time the instructor will build instructional project sheets and supportive digital material for curriculum building.
2021-2022 Attend a sublimation/printing class during summer 2022 to learn new techniques to bring back to my students
