Hello, I am Sheryl Smith.  I am the head coach for both the MS and HS Spartan Cheerleaders.  I myself, am a Spartan Alumni and also have graduated from Garden City Community College and Fort Hays State University.  While in High School I ran Cross Country and Track.  I was also on the Basketball Team and Cheerleading Squad.  Also, I was a member of the National Honor Society.  My Senior year I was honored to be named a Boot Hill All Star Cheerleader and cheer in the Boot Hill Classic, an all star basketball game for area seniors.  As I moved on to college I continued Cheerleading at Garden City Community College.  GO BUSTERS!  I was happy to return home as I began my teaching career, and I welcomed my 19th class this fall.  While teaching in Deerfield I have coached cheerleading for 13 of those 19 years. I am excited about what this new year will bring!
