Spartans played a tall and talented Bucklin team. From tip-off, Spartans tried to figure out ways to exploit the size difference of the Bucklin aces. Ultimately, Bucklin's size advantage was too much for the Spartans. Spartans were led by Jesus amaro with 13 points.

On the season, coach Towle said these guys did a tremendous job coming together as a group. We accomplished a lot of things this year. Those things included doubling our wins total from last year, winning a conference tourney, and playing for a sub-state championship. Two seniors were selected to participate in the garden city community college all-star game, senior Jesus Amaro and senior Cesar Ramirez. This was a special group coach Towle said for being a first-year head coach. The guys gave me everything they had this year, and I am very proud of them. Replacing our seniors from this season will be tough. Jesus Amaro, Cesar Ramirez, and Ryan Musil. They were the heart and soul of the team. They did a great job mentoring our younger guys to help get them ready for years to come. Spartans finished the season 7-15, which is an improvement from last year's 3-18 season.  Spartans will return two all-conference players, Xavier Robles, and Maverick Najera. They also will return a lot of guys that played meaningful minutes in Yuxelis Robles, Trey Hill, and Michael Macias. Next year we will be younger, but our returners will benefit from having a season with me under their belts and an off-season of improvement. Coach Towle said we have much to build on from this season going into next year, and expectations will be higher.
