Mrs. Kinlee Scheer

USD 216 is excited to introduce Mrs. Kinlee Scheer as our next PreK-12 Social/Emotional Counselor for the 2022-23 school year. Mrs. Scheer graduated from Garden City High School before graduating from Newman University with her Bachelor’s degree and then two Master’s Degrees, one from Emporia State University in Curriculum and Instruction and the other from Fort Hays State University in School Counseling. Mrs. Scheer has been married to her husband Derek for 10 years, and they have two sons, Mason, who is 9, and Maddon, who is 6. She was born and raised in Garden City, KS until she started teaching in Deerfield Elementary school, at which time her family moved to Lakin. Mrs. Scheer has been working in Lakin as a counselor. When she is not working in education, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, scrapbooking, and cooking. Mrs. Scheer’s goals for year one in USD 216 are to collaborate with Mrs. Wieberg to work toward building a comprehensive school counseling program. I want to collaborate with staff to see our students’ needs and work together to provide the best character education for them. I want to build rapport with students and their families to best provide resources for them. Please welcome Mrs. Kinlee Scheer and her family back to USD 216. We can’t wait to see the impact she has on our district. #InTheArena #Spartans216
