On April 28th, we got to celebrate the successes our FFA chapter had through its first year. We got to hand out awards, install new officers for the next year and talk about all that we accomplished in our first year. It was a great night to celebrate the FFA members and thank their parents for allowing their kids to be a part of the chapter. Each member got to be recognized and earned either their Discovery Degree or Greenhand Degree. From having success at competitions, to coming up with new ideas to grow our chapter, I could not have asked for a better group of first year members to help me re-start the Deerfield FFA Chapter! After our awards we got to enjoy a fun evening eating and playing games with the members and their families. I cannot thank my FFA Members and their families enough for their support throughout the year. It would not be made possible without the families and their students. It also would not have been made possible without my school board, administration,
and the DMS/DHS Faculty. Thank you to everyone that supported the Deerfield FFA Chapter our first year and cannot wait to see how we grow in the future! Thanks to Tyson Fresh Meats for the hamburger meat, Becky Kenyon for providing desserts, Mr. Thompson for cooking the hamburgers, Mr. Burns and Mrs. Wieberg for providing cornhole, Deerfield Rec for providing Connect4 and Deerfield Elementary School for providing Jenga.
