Going up against a bigger school was going to be a challenge from the tip. They jumped out on us early but the Spartans fought there way back and kept it within 10 until the final minutes of the half before a 8-0 run but then down by 18 at the half. Second half Elkhart hot shooting continued and Spartans could not recover. Final score 72-36. Coach Towle said after the game it is a 27 point improvement from last years game when Spartans lost 72-9. We still have to keep improving. Right now we’re tied for second in substate standings sitting at 3-6. Spartans go on the road Thursday at 5-2 Wiley, Colorado.
