The Deerfield Spartans played the Rolla Pirates at home on Thursday night. This was the final round of the Santa Fe Trail League Tournament. The boys came in first place in the league. The final score of the game was Deerfield 64 and Rolla 8. Below are a few words from coach Towle.
The Spartans took care of business tonight with a big win over Rolla 64-8. Spartans jumped on the from the start and never looked back. Coach Towle said after the game; it shows how far we have come. In the first game of the year, we lost to them 37-30, and for us to come out and take care of business tonight makes me very proud. We have come a long way since the start of the season, and it showed tonight. I am so proud of them, and I love this group of guys. Spartans are 5-7 and return home on Monday vs. Cheylin.
