Western Plains won 44-39. They led the whole game, and the Spartans could never get within 5.

Coach Towle said after the game.

We looked flat today. Shots were not falling, the guys looked tired, and we had a lot of excuses in the starting lineup. So I went to my rotation and played guys that were going to play hard and see what combinations of players would work. I tell our guys daily to be ready because they have yet to determine when their number will get called. Johan Rodriguez was a massive boost for us yesterday. He came in during our press and used his length to get to some turnovers. These next days of practice, I have to figure out what lineup works best because it is not working right now. Spartans are 5-9 and still sitting in 2nd place in the sub-state and one game out of first place. Spartans travel to Walsh, Colorado, on Tuesday.
