The Lady Spartans played the Greeley Co Jackrabbits at Lakin due to our facilities not having power. The Lady Spartans played really well but lost 19-56. Below are some words from Coach Eslinger.
For the first quarter and a half, we were doing a good job handling their pressure. We were making the right cuts and finishing at the rim. Unfortunately, when the team pressing shoots 24 free throws and the team dropping back on defense only hits four, it will make for a tough night. Maybe one of these years, the point of emphasis by KSHSAA of keeping hands off and playing defense with your feet will get called. We know that we have to handle physical play better, and this is something we will have to do to take the next step. Proud of how our girls competed for four quarters against a good team.
