Thursday April 21 from 5-8pm - DES Teachers, students and their families are invited to McDonald’s West in GC, to interact outside of the school/classroom. The teachers will work behind the scenes to help pass out food, work the drive thru, sell cookies, or simply meet and greet with the students and their families in the lobby. A percentage of $ from meal/snack sales will go toward DES' outdoor learning space via the Parent Advisory Council fund.

Deerfield FFA got to recharter the chapter last night! Ten members got to sign the charter. FFA Sponsor Ms. Hastings shared her thoughts on the night. "I am so excited for these students and to see where FFA can take them. We were fortunate to have the Kansas State Vice President Rachel Sebesta and The Kansas State FFA Reporter Lydia Watanabe with us for the event. They shared their experiences with FFA and gave some advice to our members to take advantage of all the opportunities that FFA provides. We could not be here without the support from the school board, school administration, community, students and their families. I am humbled to be leading the chapter and giving this opportunity to students. I cannot wait to see where the chapter goes throughout the years!"

Don’t forget this Saturday, March 26th is The Clash. Tickets can still be purchased or you can buy them at the door. Great items up for auction and prizes to win in the raffle. We also have some great live entertainment and the food is going to be amazing from 1979 Food Truck.
