From Coach Wieberg- Today the Deerfield High School XC team took three freshman to regionals in Great Bend. These three have been running together since 6th grade. Ashley and Brynn were both coming off injuries. Ashley ran her second best time and Brynn managed to shave 55 seconds off her PR. These two girls have pushed through a lot of pain this season but finished strong. Jermiah gave another strong performance today. He has shown a lot of growth this season. The Spartans fell short of making it to state but they will be back next year even better. These kids have the dedication and heart to continue to help grow the program at the high school level! I am proud to have coached them and be a small part of the runners they have become! #WeAreSpartans #spartans216
