USD 216 Deerfield will be closed tomorrow, January 28th, due to a large number of student and staff illnesses. This closure is necessary to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff, allow time for recovery, and provide extra sanitation measures to help reduce the spread of illness. Please continue to wash hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes, stay home if sick, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Please see the attached letter from Superintendent Steinmetz for additional details. We have a home high school game on Monday evening followed the SFTL tournament on Tuesday and Thursday in Rolla for both our HS and MS basketball teams. Due to predicted low wind chills on Tuesday morning, USD 216 will operate on a 2-hour delayed start on Tuesday, January 21st. School will begin at 9:50 AM. Please be on the look out for this registration form coming home in backpacks. Spartan Cheer is gearing up for their winter Little Spartan Cheer Clinic. We are again offering the opportunity to purchase extra shirts. The shirts will gain you admission to the Senior Night Basketball games Friday February 14. The event registration and orders are due Thursday Jan. 30 by 4:00pm. The clinic will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Friday February 14. The performance will be that night at halftime of the boys varsity game! Extra forms can be found in both the Elementary and High School offices.
